The end of another season is upon us here at Carlin. All five championships we compete in have finished and now testing has become the order of the day. This week our Formula Renault 3.5 team have remained in Barcelona for two days of official testing with Carlos Sainz Jnr and Jazeman Jaafar. While further south in Spain the first official post-season GP3 Series test will get underway in Jerez with Jack Harvey, Josh Webster and Eric Lichtenstein.
Over the course of the next few weeks the Carlin cars will be out, mainly in Spain, as they prepare for the coming year. Both the World Series and GP3 team have started their tests in Spain and the GP2 team will be departing shortly for Barcelona. Elsewhere the British Formula Three team will sure enough be making Pembrey their second home after the upcoming Macau GP marks the final race of Carlin’s year.
So as you can imagine back at the factory it’s full steam ahead for all our teams as they get their cars prepped for winter testing. For the Formula Three team, who still have one race two go, this time is spent getting all six of our cars ready – the biggest Carlin has ever taken to the event.
2012 British Formula Three Champion Jack Harvey will be joined by the man who took the title in the previous year; Felipe Nasr. They will be joined by Red Bull juniors Antonio Felix da Costa and Carlos Sainz Jnr while GP3 race winners William Buller and Daniel Abt complete the line-up.
And so as the factory gets busier and busier, before becoming a ghost town, it’s time for us to leave and get ready for the huge amount of testing that awaits us. As always you can keep up to date with what’s happening back at base, and wherever we are in the world, by liking our Facebook page and following us on Twitter.
