Well that was one busy week

We’ve only gone and launched our brand new factory! The day finally arrived, the drivers were finally announced and we had a great time catching up with some friends we’ve not seen for a little while.

Our new F3 car

We moved into our bespoke new home here in Farnham a few months back and to make sure that everyone got to see the new place in all its glory we invited our 2012 driver line-up, a selection of friends, sponsors and industry professionals – as well as our lovely new neighbours – to come along and check out the new facilities. From workshop to offices to the sub-assembly and carbon rooms we opened our doors for a great night.

Absolute Taste provided the brilliant catering for us (their canapés? Delicious, not a scrap left) while Sky’s Formula One commentator David Croft was our outstanding compere for the evening. We even used the event to showcase some of our best moments from the 2011 season!

Just a few of our trophies in reception

During the course of the night we announced our completed British Formula Three line-up, Pietro Fantin and Jazeman Jaafar will start the season with us alongside our already announced drivers of Carlos Sainz Jr, Jack Harvey and Harry Tincknell. We’re also pleased to welcome Alex Brundle to the Carlin GP3 team this year.

We had a huge selection of cars on display too (what kind of motor racing team would we be if we didn’t?!), from the championship winners to the brand new 2012 challengers. We we’re even lucky enough to have Tom Chilton’s BTCC race winner in the factory. It was great to have our sister team, Arena International Motorsport, also featured in the factory launch.
